-- You Name It , We Frame It -- 2010
Celebrating
22 years of Specialty Framing Excellence !!!
The
Dry mounting procedure is used to Remove
wrinkles
and creases from your item(s). In most
cases,
by the time you get around to framing your
item,
it will usually have at least some minor wrinkles.
These
wrinkles or creases are caused by normal handling,
Folding,
Rolling, or unintentional crushing of the item.
Although
dry mounting will not repair more extensive
damage
such as rips or holes, the process will prevent
any
more damage from occurring.
The
dry mounting process involves using a large heated
press
to permanently adhere your item to a piece of rigid
foam
board. Because this process is usually irreversible,
We
Frame It does not recommend this process for rare items
such
as; Antiques, Limited Edition Prints, or other
Important
Documents.
At
We Frame It, we use only acid free products.
Acid
free means that your picture framing is now
preserved
as is. The colored borders (mats)
that
we place around your items, as well as the
backings
we use, are all museum quality archival
picture
framing products. These products are state of
the
art, and are designed to prevent aging processes !
If
you have had your precious items framed by one
of
our competitors, feel free to bring them by our
shop
for an acid free evaluation. We will be happy
to
take a look and, if necessary, provide you with
expert
advice as to what may be done to better
preserve
your memories for generations to come !
